1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Guratike platform ("Service"), including our website, applications, and related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Guratike is an event management and ticketing platform that enables organizers to create and manage events, sell tickets, and manage attendee access through QR-based badge systems. Attendees can discover events, purchase or request tickets, and receive digital badges for entry.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information.
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

4. User Roles

The Service supports two primary user roles:

• Organizers — may create events, set ticket pricing and categories, manage attendees, and approve or reject ticket requests.
• Buyers / Attendees — may browse events, purchase tickets, request free tickets where applicable, and access digital badges.

Organizers are solely responsible for the accuracy of event information, pricing, capacity, and the fulfillment of event obligations.

5. Ticket Purchases & Payments

• All ticket prices are displayed in Rwandan Francs (RWF) unless otherwise stated.
• Ticket purchases are final. Refunds are at the sole discretion of the event organizer.
• Guratike acts as a platform facilitator and is not the seller of tickets. Contracts for ticket purchases are between the buyer and the event organizer.
• We reserve the right to cancel or reverse fraudulent transactions and suspend associated accounts.

6. Event Attendance & QR Badges

Upon successful ticket purchase or approval, attendees receive a digital QR-based badge. You agree to:

• Present your QR badge at the event venue for scanning and verification.
• Not share, duplicate, or transfer your QR badge to unauthorized individuals.
• Comply with venue rules, capacity limits, and any additional event-specific policies.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent event listings.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, systems, or data.
• Resell, scalp, or commercially redistribute tickets without organizer authorization.
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access or interact with the Service.
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service or its infrastructure.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, logos, and software associated with Guratike are the property of Guratike and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

Event organizers retain ownership of their event content (descriptions, images, etc.) but grant Guratike a non-exclusive license to display such content on the platform.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Guratike shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the Service.
• Event cancellations, changes, or failures by organizers.
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your account data.
• Any third-party conduct on or related to the Service.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Guratike makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Service. We do not guarantee that events listed on the platform will occur as described.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Service with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rwanda.
